Dr. Ina J. Creekbaum
President’s Message

Why this institute exists.

The mental health landscape after COVID did not just grow — it changed. More people needed help. The presentations were more complex. And the existing approaches were not structured to meet what was walking through the door. I built TCAT from evidence-based modalities, but I shaped it around the need — a framework that gives clinicians a coherent structure for working with what people are actually bringing in now, not what the textbooks were written for. The institute exists because that framework needs a home, and the training division exists because clinicians who are going to carry this work forward need to be formed inside it.

If you are looking for a placement that will check a box, this is not the right fit. If you are looking for one that will shape how you work for the rest of your career — and give you access to a clinical ecosystem where you can grow in directions most training sites cannot offer — then I want to hear from you.

We are building something here. The students who train with us are part of that.

President, Creekbaum Institute for Clinical Transformation

PSY30705

Clinician. Educator. Author.

Dr. Ina J. Creekbaum is a licensed psychologist and the creator of Truth-Centered Agreement Therapy — an integrative framework she spent years developing, field-testing in clinical practice, and ultimately publishing through CICT Press.

She founded Illuminating Psychological Services, an established group practice now evolving into a clinical training site — the institutional home from which CICT operates. As a Qualified Medical Evaluator, she brings diagnostic precision and forensic expertise alongside deep therapeutic skill.

Her conviction is straightforward: lasting change begins with truth — and clinicians who have genuinely been formed in that principle change lives differently than those who have merely been trained in a technique.
